100% agreed, i tried a pair of the d1 arms and not for me. do you guys replace your wipers multiple times a year or something?

i wouldn't be shocked if these rover blades are missing greasable joints and will poke out your eye through the windshield if you don't get them fixed...

Guys, the DI arms is not just for price and certainly not for looks. The DI arm has 2 springs vs. the DII 1 spring set up, it forces the blade much harder against your windscreen. You should have just gotten the blade and conversion set I linked you to.

You can buy the "Euro" wiper blades for the DI.
You are supposed to replace your wiper blades every 6 months.
I have two sets for my truck, one winter blade set and one summer blade set. First sign of streaking I replace the set.

One thing you guys who are ordering your wiper blades on line need to remember is that wiper blades dont give you warning before going bad, they just go bad so you might want to have a extra set in your garage.

where does it say to replace wiper blades every 6 months? i've never heard that in my life - not challenging anyone that just sounds like serious overkill to me. i've got an 06 subaru that i've replaced blades on once since i bought it new and they work perfectly fine. i've been driving in new england weather for over 20 years and windshield wipers on any car have never been a big issue.

does it say it on the wiper blade box maybe? that i would understand, they make more money. or do you need super special wiping power for serious off roading mud?

but your advice entails buying stuff at rovers north 95% of the time and that makes me hesitant to listen. just being honest. i personally take the advice of people who suggest parts and ideas, not specific vendors.

Not sure why that would make you hesitant to listen, that just makes you sound ignorant. I was suggesting an idea, DI wiper conversion which is what many people do. I'm not sure where else sells the conversion but I'm sure you can find it other places.

Here you go, all of the experts say every 6 months and they all say you dont need to break the bank buying wiper blades.
I've lived in the Great Lakes for 40 years, I drive for a living, over 2million miles now, so ask me how often a wiper blade needs to be replaced and I will tell you at the first signs of trouble.
I will also tell you not to use a silicone wiper blade in the winter, the silicone hardens when it gets cold and will not form to the glass and leave streaks.
And I will also tell you not to use a rubber wiper blade in the summer, the rubber gets hot and breaks down faster in the sun.
