Make the switch to D1 arms. Here's your excuse to get them.

D1 arms seems to be the way to go, higher initial cost but benefits and future cheaper blades outweigh the negatives.

I have D1 arms that were installed by the previous owner along with Bosch ICON blades. The passenger side blade doesn't touch in the middle for part of the sweep. It is wicked annoying. The blades seem to have more spring than the arms. I tried bending the end of the arm some to increase the pressure but all that seemed to do was make the arm look like crap. Make sure whatever blades you buy can conform to the windshield so you don't suffer from road rage during inclement weather like I do.

Get a replacement spring for the arm, ACE has a good selection of springs or homedepot/lowes assortment pack. Find one that's similar and switch it out...this is what i did to my D2 arms so they actually function (still have to order blades but i like the D2 arms better).

Do you have a part number for the spring you purchased for your D2 arm? I need a spring to. So you got it at Ace hardware store?

Mine were actually working just fine until this freezing weather, in heavy rain they did the job well also.

No i dont, i went with the assortment pack from Lowes. ACE has a better selection, take the arm off and take it in with you.

I double the spring, left the original and added an additional. D1 arms came with 2 springs...for some reason they only put 1 on the D2 arm.
