Default Windshield wipers are not working

My wipers have given up. They were acting up when it rained. Then they decided to behave but I was reduced to just high and off no intermittent speed or low. Now they have stopped all together. I changed the wiper relay with no success. I can here the relay engage when the wiper **** is turned. Is my problem in the switch on the column or somewhere else?

If you don't want to dismantle and clean one, I have good used replacements with 60 say warranties for just $24 including shipping.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks for the tip. Best I can tell I had a concert of problems. Before the wipers stopped working completely I clearly had a problem in the stalk switch as I only had high and no other speed options. I went through the stalk switch as recommended. Still no wipers. I changed out the wiper motor. That fixed it. I have full functioning wipers. Thanks for the advice.
