Default Wipers! Need Help

Ok, so this morning after a foot of snow. I go to my car and turn on the wipers. Cleared everything of course. AND wipers are no go??? So neither wipers is moving. While doing this troubleshooting I lifted the wiper from the glass and noticed the other one moved with it??

So I stick my head next to glass and can hear the motor moving. Hmm. OK motor is good. Not knowing how any of it works I go inside and get the RAVE. Figure out how to take air plenum plastic thing of. Then I notice that the nut that attaches arms to motor is not there.

NOW the problem is I do not know what position the whole thing is supposed to be in. I tried numerous times! To low to high..etc ..

Frustrated as can be please help if you know which way it (the arm mechanism) should be after motor is turned off and they come the rest position.

HELP!!

I have a spare wiper/linkage assembly . I will take a photo when I get home later today and post it.

Another thought , can you reset the position of the wiper arms after you hook up the linkage to the motors.

Turn your wipers on, let them "wipe" a few times and then turn the switch off, let them go back the "park" position, then hook everything back up.
I have never been that far into the wiper system but I think it should be obvious what to hook up, it should only hook up one way.
Do a test fit, run the wipers and see if they are working correctly before putting everything back.

Same exact thing happened to me. However, mine was in regular park position. Bolt had come off and was sitting in the pan up there. I put a little rtv on the bolt so that hopefully it won't vibrate loose again. Of course this was after I had ordered a used motor so now I have a spare
