Default wipers not moving

Was driving home in the rain the other morning, the wipers where working fine, then they moved up and never went back down, they are stuck in up, was not a fun drive the rest of the way home, any ideas on what I can look for? I looked for a fuse in the fuse box but did not see one for the wipers.

Thanks for any help you can give

There's a fuse for the wipers, I forget which one but it's under the steering wheel.

Also he motor could be dead.

Also in some miraculous coincidence both of your wiper nuts could have come loose

Fuse 19. 15 Amp. Hint. There are spare fuses in the bottom row of the fuse box from the factory. Also, pic of fuse box with fuse purpose noted in the emergency information section on the Owner's Handbook on page 188. Also, if there. Is a fuse #5, you can borrow it, as it is for the Day Time running lights, which are not programmed as such for those D2s in the US. I just replaced my front wiper motor. For completeness for the archives I have attached the interior fuse box/fuse panel layout from the owner's manual for the next poor soul who may need this, so they do not have to dig to find it in the manual.

checked the fuse, looked ok, when I turn the switch on I can hear a click like its trying to turn on, does it sound like the wiper motor went out?

is there anyway to check it? and is there any write ups on how to replace it? I did a search and could not find anything.

thanks again for any help you can give

Having a situation where my wipers and wash liquid won't start at all following a freeze storm we had a couple of days ago and, while researching for a solution, i stumbled upon your post. I have not tried this posible solution (fingers crossed it is JUST the fuse as it will save me A LOT of time and $$), but i wanted to THANK YOU for the thoroughness of your message and detail! Will revert back to this response with whatever my solution was for my case.
