Wipers not working
Both the front and rear wipers on my 2004 have stopped working. Nothing, no swipe, wash function, nothing. There is no power at the #18 + 19 fuse in the interior fusebox. I checked the relay in the engine bay fuse box, swapping it out does nothing. There also seems to be a 20amp fuse in the same fuse box labeled for the wipers. It was blown, but replacing it still does nothing.
I’m at a loss here, anyone have any further suggestions where to look?
TIA.

Without knowing anything about the wiper wiring system, I’m suspecting whatever caused your 20A fuse to blow. It might take some chasing to find the cause. If I’m on the right track, you’ll need to isolate sections of the wiring/system downstream of that fuse.
Check all the fuse, under the hood and passenger compartment. Mine stopped working when a random one blew while I had the interior apart. There was nothing in rave that correlated, but replacing the fuse fixed it. I forget which one it was.
Thanks. All the fuses are fine.
. I’ve tracked it down to the fact that I get no power going to the wiper fuse #19 (internal fuse box
When I jump 12v to the outgoing side of the #19 fuse, the wipers work.
It has been suggested I remove the fuse box and check for corrosion.

OK, here’s one for the kids out there..😉. Problem solved.
Passenger compartment fuse box fuses #18 and 19 are for the front and rear wipers. But alas, there is a third player in this equation that is not mentioned in the owners manual or on the cover of the fuse box. It is shown on the very difficult to read RAV wiper wiring diagram, but it is fuse 26, which is shown as AUX on the cover diagram.
If this fuse is blown (or missing as in my case, there will be no power getting to fuse 18 and 19.
In my case, fuse #26 somehow fell out and was sitting on the bottom of the cover panel, which is where my spare fuses are stored, so I hadn’t noticed it sitting there.
Hopefully this will help others down the line.
