Default wish windshield to get

My 95 disco front windshield broke. What is the best choice? An original equipped from the salvage yard or a new one from a local auto glass shop?
Please adv ice,
George

Go get a new windshield. They're not that expensive. I had Safelite auto glass replace my windscreen and I was very happy with it.

Default under 200 dollar quoats

Thnks for the fast reply,

I had two quotes: 1 for 185 for the salvage window. The other 180 with new window from their regular supply glass.

I truly do not know how good is regular supply is

There is a guy in Wilmington with one, don't know how far that is from Pasadena, but its an original windshield for around 100 bucks for a 95...This is the website, you can give them a call during business hours..

The aftermarket windscreens are good. Mine is a bit thicker than the factory. Not sure if that equates to better though.

Keep in mind that windscreens get pitted over time. A salvage one will be pitted to some degree or another.

D1's could be bought with heated windscreens starting I think in '96, but never in the US. I put a heated windscreen in my '95. I just need to get some '96 or later connectors for it.
I don't know anyone in the US who sells heated ones though, I got mine a number of years ago when a friend had a container coming over.
