Worth it to bring 1998 DII w/ 116k miles back? Tons of codes and overheating...
I found out that its actually a 99, not a 98. Its also pretty much a gift.. I'd like to try to fix the over heating issue then try to drive it to my location about 9 hours away. I think I can fix the other stuff if I can just prevent it from overheating on the drive here
The DII was introduced to the world in 1998, it came to the US once all of the "old stock" (DI's) were sold.
1999 DI's are late production date 1998 DI's.

Well I replaced the thermostat, cleaned the MAF+Throttle body, and seafoamed the head.
It seems to have stopped the overheating and now the hair air blows super hot... I was told before the hair air didn't work at all so I'm assuming it did indeed have a bad thermostat.
However now that I am working on it directly I can hear gurgling sounds behind the dash when I rev it up. Also while I was seafoaming it I noticed smoke coming out of the headers to the exhaust (I think that was the connection?) I will post pics of where the smoke was coming from shortly.
So does the water gurgling sound mean the head gasket is bad?

Well yesterday i flushed the coolant, refilled and them bled all the air so no more gurgling sounds behind the dash.
Also the amount of codes went down to P0733 0734 0154 0135 0155 , they all seem to be o2 related. Is there any way to Figure out which o2 sensor to replace and how much it is?

Also do you think its safe to drive it down from nc to fl with the o2 codes now that the over heating has been solved. It should be roughly a 600 mile trip at like 60mph... Just curious if its alright to drive with numerous o2 codes.
It'd be much, much better to change the O2s where the truck is. It's not that difficult to do and not that expensive either. In 3-4 hours or less you can likely have the truck running well and not risk irreversibly damaging the cats.
The P0135 is driver's side, pre-cat. The P0154 and P0155 are passenger side, pre-cat. The other codes are transmission-related.
Have you downloaded the factory service manual (RAVE)? Look in Savannah Buzz's sig lines for the links.
