Worth it to bring 1998 DII w/ 116k miles back? Tons of codes and overheating...

Asheville area at my parents place... I live in Florida however which is why I was asking if I can bring it down. I will be back in next month so maybe then I can try replacing the O2 sensors, however they don't exactly have a full auto garage.
Do you think it would be possible to replace the O2 sensors on level ground if I crawled underneath it? From what I have read and researched there are four 02 sensors that all need to be replaced from underneath the vehicle.

Front O2s are accessed from the top. No need to crawl under the truck.
You'll need a special O2 sensor socket. I bought a cheapy version from Harbor Freight that they no longer stock (#95045), but they now show an offset version. You'll also need lots of extension and a U-joint. There is a Harbor Freight in Asheville if there's not one where you live.
As for the O2 sensors themselves I bought the Bosch 15175 from Advance Auto ($74.99 ea.)
I had no trouble removing the sensors themselves. The most difficult part of the job for me and many others is accessing the connectors, which LR thoughtfully mounted on the back of the engine between it and the firewall. Smaller hands are a plus for this job. And patience.
Good luck.
