It is only worth 4000 if it is worth 4000 to you. Not trying to sound smart-aleck but for me it would be worth it (as long as the engine and drivetrain are in good shape. Or as good shape as a used Disco can be lol). I could replace shocks and do the 60K maintenance for a 4000 Kalahari or XD Disco I. But that is only me. If it were another trim i.e. SE or SE7 I would have to think long and hard because I could get one for less I think. So there you go. To me it would be worth it. To others maybe not. If you are really not into the XD look and trim then keep looking. There are plenty of Disco I's and II's to be had for 4000 that will serve you just as well. And with lower miles. Hope this helps. Have a good day.

Offer him $3800 CASH since you'd have to replace the shocks. I say pull the trigger, it's not often you find an XD/Kalahari.........

BUT....if you you're unsure about the yellow now, you may never get used to it, and then you'll have the worst buyer's remorse that you get reminded of every day when you walk outside and see that bright and colorful Rover in your driveway

I would say that when it comes to yellow either you love it or you don't. No really in between. You can buy a blue vehicle and feel iffy about it and be a happy owner. Like ylo said, if you are iffy about yellow every time you see it you are going to ask yourself WTF (what the flaghorn) did I do.
