Default XRAD: Anyone using medium duty TF springs with steel bumpers?

Anyone using medium duty TF springs with steel bumpers? Just wondering how the ride is. any sag? My TF HD springs and TF shocks are really firm with steel bumpers and sliders and roof rack. On road off road no difference. I don't have much roll, which is nice on the road, but every bump feels like it's a 3 foot hole....

I totally understand your pain.
I had HD TF in the front and HD OME in the rear with steel bumpers, winch, tank guard and rock sliders but no roof rack. The drive with the HD springs was extremely uncomfortable and stiff. The reason I went HD was so the springs wouldn't sag with extra weight.
I recently replaced only the rear with MD TF and the ride is noticeably better but will probably be even more comfortable when I swap out the front springs for MD TF springs.

Hi Juke, Thx for reply. so no real sag? I have a set of MD's I want to swap in, but I have a lift too (2" springs, 2" pads). I was worried about roll. I just spend more time on the road than off road. When I have been off road, it also sucks worse because of the stiffness. I never have her fully cargo loaded, so even with 3 peeps and a few camping items, still stiff....

Well this could be disappointing for me. I just got a the OME HD kit (springs and shocks) and after calculating the weight of all this items plus RTT and gear as well as talking to some vendors it looked like the HD spring was the way to go. I don’t expect it to ride like stock but also not extremely rough.

So my ride has all of this stuff attached to truck, but the HD springs hardly even compress with additional 330 human lbs bouncing on rear bumper. I think they are overly stiff...unless I have the super HD's? cant tell as the paint (which seems to suck on TF springs) is all rusted out....

of course, the shocks play a huge role in ride quality. I have the long TF blue and silver shocks.....no idea of the valving....

Here are the numbers I am working with.

Front bumper: 140 lbs
Rear bumper: 100 lbs
sliders: 135 lbs
Roof rack: 100 lbs
RTT: ~120 lbs
Recovery gear/tools: 75 lbs
camping gear: 250 lbs

I have been told the OME HD springs/ shocks are not as stiff as the HD TF kit but not sure what that really means yet.

Ok, that is some good numbers info. I have had the cargo bay loaded with tools, and a long high lift jack on the roof, and it's still a hard ride. well I'm going to give the MD TF's a try when I get time to put them in. I might get adjustable shocks too, or stay with the TF's I have , not sure yet. I will report back afterward. I also have to do the brake hard lines, and the rears are not going to be fun...

My Kalahari has 2inch MD springs F/R along with a TF F/R bumper setup & no real sag. I did eventually add 1inch aluminum spacers under the coil spring retainers, but that was just for more lift overall as my D2 dragged it's J-lo booty pretty good out on the more technical trails with just a 2inch lift. I love how my Kalahari drives/handles.

2) which shocks?
