Default XYZ switch rebuild who posted all that great info not long ago?

Going to rebuild my xyz switch in the morning but cannot find that awesome step by step instructions that was posted. Anyone remember who posted it and why was it not made into a sticky?

Why are you rebuilding it? I did mine due to no gear indication, wont start or release key. No dice. Next I will test leads to verify voltage.

Said beat me to it with the link; I took some of the pics in that thread. The guy knows his stuff, and has had no further problems since the rebuild, but be sure to do read the additional info in this post further down in that thread Rebuild D2 ZF Selector Switch UHB100190 - Australian Land Rover Owners

yeah i used wd40 to get the mud out and then electronic cleaner to get it really clean. both non-corrosive.

Default XYZ transmission Loom

Hello,

Does anyone have advice on how to figure out if the issue is from the loom or the switch? I have replaced several (refurbished) switches and they only last several weeks each. I dont know if I should be blaming the refurbisher or could it be an issue lurking somewhere else? Loom? ECU? Battery?

Thanks for any and all input/ideas
