Default XZY Switch (1999-2003 versus 2004)

I am looking for a spare XYZ switch to prep myself for a road trip to the Arctic. I have a 2003 Disco. I looked up Ebay for used ones. Some of the sellers denote the switches as either "1999 to 2003" or "2004" (with the black cover).

Are there any design differences to them? Are they interchangeable? Thx

Hey Andrew, I still have the transmission pan did you want to take it alone as a just in case ?

I also have assorted relays, a rotoflex, Standard thermostat, SLABS and BCU if you want them for the trip.

XYZ = is an XYZ switch. They just changed the design on 03-04 black units vs the tan 99-02 units. However either one will work.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the offer! I will certainly take you up on it. Let us chat at the Overland Rally!

Cheers,
Andrew

Good to know.
There is a dismantled '04 D2 at the breakers yard near me. I might "snag" the XYZ switch for a backup.
