Default Yet Another 3 Amigo challenge

I have done the Option B while back. but the lights comes back every few weeks. I am getting

RSW site explains

016:Shuttle Valve Switch Long Term Failure

Has anyone had similar experience? Fact that the lights go away with the USB Amigo and stays that way for few days and runs great is puzzling.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

How good is your ground connection? If you grounded to chassis did you sand the metal then clean it with a solvent?

Possible shuttle valve seals leaking causing wiring corrosion. \the only place that sells them is Falconworks for a ridiculous price but there is no other option even Wabco.

I checked the ground. In fact for test purpose I ran a 12 gauge wire directly from battery. whats interesting is i can erase the codes and drive for few days. I did replaced the shuttle valve seal as well.

I have a 2nd ABS Unit that I bought from someone. I checked today it looks like the seal is not good and the switch had fluid in. I could take my 2nd unit and do both Mod A and B. and any other mod as test unit and really not worry about screwing up. Any suggestion?

Thanks

I was reading up the Option B again. I used butt connector to all the wires instead of the trailer wire (in the instruction) and did not solder. I may need to revisit my fix. this was done few years ago.

The trailer wire connector isn't required but good connections are. Revisiting your work seems like a good next step. Good luck, and please let us know how it turns out.

Cab we test the Shuttle Valve connector C0501 with multi-meter before I proceed to start taking the ABS unit apart? Can anyone point me to right direction? Search have not panned out anything yet

Thanks

Given that you've done Option B there is no value in testing the connector (with respect to the shuttle valve switches). You could disconnect the butt connectors and check resistance through the switches but since the Three Amigos come intermittently I don't expect that this test would be of much benefit.

Thanks Mln01 - I tend to agree if the seal was leaking or switch gave up then this problem would not be intermittent issue.

I did some further read up last night

Advice from RSW
012:Pump Fail Monitor Line

How would one test the continuity test between 504 (ECU) and 507 near the ABS Shuttle?

Also looking at the LR Bulletin on this

No: 70/07/04/NAS
Ref:
Issue: 1
Date: 28 October 2004

These grounds could be problem as well.

C0561 (i found this one have not tested but looks clean)
C0362 (I have not found this one looks like near the ECU not sure if this is a ground for ECU)

I am planning on visiting the bulletin and do some investigation as soon as the Texas rain stops. I need to get my Z4 out of the garage before I can play around.

Thanks
