Default Yet another post on power door locks:

sorry - I'm newb here & search fnction wasn't very helpful.

'02 DIsco:
Power door locks won't work for rear doors nor trunk via either key in door / remote or dash button. doors make mechanical sound so i don't think its the actuators - I haven't checked the fuse yet though.
new battery in remote.
any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks.

Alex

do you have a cordless drill? if you do make some jumper leads from the battery of it and connect them up to the actuator wires (disconnect the wires first so you dont power the circuit) one way will lock the doors the other will unlock. this will tell you if the actuators are good. also if the actuators move but the door doesn't lock or unlock check your rods and make sure they are all free.
