I will probably actually get a 06-09 RRS supercharged in the next year or so. Plenty of power, comfortable, reasonable reliable.

I had an 06 LR3 and at first it was great, then it just turned into a huge PITA. Sunroof exploding all by itself on a cool day, constant cruise control not permitted faults after all kinds of diagnostics and 3 brake switches. 4.4L V8 was great, but that's about it. EAS was a total PITA just like my P38 was. I tried to go back to EAS with an open mind, but in the end the LR3/RRS does the same BS with any hard fault = drops to the ground completely when you least expect it. Bought the LR3 due to 3rd row and honestly they maybe got used 2-3 times if that. If I was to ever try anything from 05-09 I would go for the RRS (no glass roof to worry about as the sunroof was bad enough....), and I would sadly ditch the EAS for coils. Yep the ride might be worse, but I WILL NEVER EVER IN 1,000,000,000 years ever deal with EAS ever again.... In the end it's just an additional wear item, and it seems to always fail when you least expect it at the worse time. Good old coils will NEVER do that! I also went thru 2 HD Package Rear Diff electric motors and I used the rear locker off road once.....

It just wasn't my cup of tea vs the older 87-04 stuff. I've always loved the 06-09 RRS body style and I love the Orange Range Stormer color, but I just don't see myself in one any time soon!

I would pick up a a 4.2 supercharged L322 Range Rover HSE, for my next one for a Land Rover.

Now outside of Land Rover a Porsche Cayenne first gen is always a fun choice.

I’d have to get a SC L322. I’d use it as a knock around car and overland build.
I’ve got two D2s and I might sell Chloe someday and go ahead and add a L322 to the stable. But for right now, I’m Digging both D2s which I’ll be using for different Purposes.

But I don’t strongly desire anything particularly outside of LR.
I’ve had a 94 Bronco. It was cool and I liked it. But it didn’t have the character of a LR. Although mine was one owner, low miles and well maintained, It always seemed very fragile to me? .

I had both a 89 and 91 Dodge Ramcharger at the same time for awhile. Sold the 89 for money to put into the 91. I’ll admit, those trucks had a sentimental aspect to them. They looked cool, they were very tough and they were easy and inexpensive to work on. I loved my Ramcharger. But I foolishly sold the 91. I wish I did not do that, it would be a total boss by now. I’ve looked to get another but they are getting rare and pretty expensive for a solid unit. Regret is strong with this one.

I'll do an LR3, LR4, or a bronco or grenadier next, depending on when I need a new vehicle and used prices. I tend to only buy cars 3+ years old.

I would like a 5 litre lr4 or a full size, but only as a nicer daily and to tow my d2 to off-road trips. Lol. That will never happen. If I had to replace my d2 outright I’d look for a newer LJ or gladiator or even the zr2. I still want the capability I have now, I don’t think the lr3 or 4 have the same capability unless you drop lots of coin.

I sold my Disco over the 4th of July holiday and I don't miss it. I put a $100 reservation deposit on a new Ford F-150 Lightning. Not sure if I'll go through with the ordering when they become available, but I'll try a full plug in electric. I still have 2 gasoline vehicles, but I'll give the EV a try.
