Default 2015-17 Discovery Sport

Hey all, I have previously owned LR3's and a recently totaled 2011 LR4. I've since purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7L Hemi that I haven't been all that impressed with since purchasing at the end of May. Can't seem to get LR's off the mind...

I've been looking at some 2015-17 Discovery Sports, but it's been hard to gather any real feedback on these since they are fairly new and most of the youtube videos are based on UK models. I've seen a lot of people recently posting about engine failures and timing chain issues which has me worried, especially coming from an early LR4 where the timing chain and tensioners were major issues. I understand that's what these forums are here for and we are all looking for solutions to issues we have with our vehicles... That being said, has anyone had positive experiences with the 2015-17 Discovery Sports, specifically the HSE to HSE LUX models? Things to look for during the buying period? Any additional advice? Good or bad, lay it on me.

Many thanks in advance!!

All the troubles with the engine failures and timing chains relate only to the Diesel engine. I have a 2016 model that uses the Ford ecoboost engine with some modifications and have no problems. There have been reports of engine problems but mainly because some in the USA try to run the lowest octane possible yes down to 85. I always use non ethanol 84 octane and the car purrs like a kitten.

Car is very comfortable and performance for a car this style is great especially in the mountains.
