Default 2016 Discovery sport coolant leak - what is this part

That black block on the left side of the image is covered in coolant. It’s leaking from above it.

Accidentally deleted my message. I have a coolant leak. Already replaced upper coolant hose and the thermostat housing. Both were leaking, now I’ve got my 3rd coolant leak in as many months. These SUVs are real bleeders lol. Just wondering if anyone knows what’s above this block? Maybe heater core hoses? Is it a real pain in the *** to get to them?

So we can't just add an image to the post? What's happening to these forums?

How did you resolve the issue? This part is a random part: part# 6G9N022B52A

I have the same issue - leaking from this AC drain area. Not too much information about this but I've read that if the heater core is failing, leaking from this drain helps to drain out the coolant.

It doesn’t leak when the heat is off, so it’s heater related. Haven’t had time with a new house purchase. It’s going to the shop on Monday. I’ll let you know. It’s more common for the hoses to fail. It’s not overly complicated. Battery, wipers/cover, and a few other randoms in the way have to come off to get to the area. There is a Decent YouTube video if you search. I read 2-4 hours depending on abilities for the hoses. Not sure if you get the heater core out the same way or if it’s more invasive. I know Land Rover dealer here in Kaiserslautern is a joke. I heard it’s internationally known Land Rover dealers are out to rob you.

With help from our UK friends, I was able to find the leak.

Peeked through the cowl and there it was...

Makes sense. The coolant drains from that part I uploaded.

I'm unable to locate any DIY videos to help swap out these heater hoses. There is one for a RR Evoque, but not sure if they're the same. Anyone ever swap out the these upper heater hoses before?
