Default Leaving car in garage for 6 months

Hello,

I am looking for some advise. I have a 2019 DS Landmark Edition. I will be working overseas for 6 months at a time and my plan is to have store the car in the garage.

I just thinking about disconnecting the battery and that's it.

Has anyone done this before and any other recommendations?

Full tank of gas plus a bottle of Stabil fuel stabilizier.
Leave battery connected and get a Battery Tender.
I'de go as far as to put it on jackstands to keep from flat spots on the tires from that much sitting.

Depending on where this garage is, a couple dryer sheets strategically placed in/around the vehicle will help keep rodents disinterested.

I second some form of battery tender. I too used to do many months away for work overseas.

I've not had rodent issues, nor flat-spotting of tires (shouldn't be an issue for radial tires; wasn't for me), so didn't do the other recommendations.

I am looking into a trickle charger - is it safe to leave that for 6 months in the vehicle ?

the garage is fully sealed but I will have to think about the rodeo issue.

A trickle charger and a tender are two different things, technically. I would not use a trickle charger for long-term storage.

Thanks for the clarification.

I had spoken to a someone at Land Rover and they recommended a trickle charger but I see that there are side effects - so I will the battery tender.
