My '16 Discovery Sport SE Tech has developed a strange noise. When I get to around 40-60mph there is a constant hum (similar to when a wheel bearing is on the way out) and slight metal scraping sound (best way I can describe it).

The local backstreet garage I use thinks it is the propshaft bearing, but reckons you cannot buy the bearing on its own and have to replace the whole propshaft quoting me £1058

Is this correct that the bearing cannot be replace on its own and you instead have to replace the whole propshaft
