My 2018 TD4 has started showing an amber engine warning light (see attached image) sporadically over the last couple of weeks, around a month after a service.
I've noticed that if the warning light is showing and I park with the offside on a slightly higher kerb (bad of me, I know) than standard kerb, when I restart it, the light has gone out & doesn't come back for quite a few days.
If I park 'on the flat' or with the near side on a kerb with the warning light displaying, when I restart, it's still there (I can move it to park with the off side on the kerb straightaway, stop the engine & lock the doors, then reenter the car immediately and the light's gone out!).
I think the warning is something to do with emissions (but I may be wrong)...has anyone experienced anything like this before? If so, what was the prognosis? Is it something to be worried about?
I had similar problem. Local shop checked the code - it was some kind of exhaust/emission sensor. He reset it, and while it has come back from time to time, it clears on its own.
