I was driving in a car park and I'm not sure why but the gear selector wouldn't move into N or anything so I thought if I turned off the engine it would reset it and move back to normal/park mode. Selector didn't go down and now the Land rover is stuck in D and won't start as it's not in Park. Selector is still raised but cant reset or start the car........has anyone got an ideas on what it could be....? Or how it could be fixed.....I have someone coming to tow it tomorrow to a garage

This is my first land rover, i moved from a volvo xc90 i hope i haven't made a massive mistake as the volvo was so reliable. Had no issues previously....only when the car sat for a whole week recently I got back and pretty much all the parking sensors, driving lane functions, lane assist, cruise control all had error messages....drove it for 2 hours and then switched it off, next day...everything was fine and back to normal.

it has been randomly moving from D to manual gears lately but I think I catching the paddle but only slightly.

Is this as simple simple battery fault ? 🤔
