Does anyone know what type of engine I need for this type of car and where can I get any affordable used engines in CA?

Are you saying you own a 04 D2 and you don't know what engine you have in it?
What is wrong with yours?

Yes, I don't know much about cars but what I do know is that I spent a lot of money on this particular car. I had the manifold intake replaced, then I believe it blew the head gasket and lastly the dealer told me that water has already mixed in with the oil and now I need a new/used engine. I still owe a balance on it and i just need to get it fixed even if it's a quick fix so that I can trade in this problematic car...any reply would truly help...thank you

IMHO you need a second opinion from an indy shop. People on this site replace head gaskets almost weekly it seems, have coolant dump in oil, etc. It is a two weekend DIY mechanic job, $300 in parts, $200 for machine shop work. Indy shop will get that plus 12 - 15 hours shop labor. You may not know wrenching but the RAVE shop manual is certainly a guide, plus numerous write ups on this site. Buy some tools, fix your truck, and wave at the dealer as you drive by..... on the way to buy a new flat screen with the cash you'll save...
