'04 Disco 2 had slipped sleeve along with other leaks..... so I'm in process of swapping to a engine from a P38. Old engine is out, prepping for new install, I realized the replacement engine has the oil coolant lines. I think I read somewhere that when the '03 facelift was done, the oil cooler was deleted and no longer fits.... not sure about that part, but I don't have a cooler on the disco now. Does anyone know if I can simply plug the holes at the pump and move forward? I could also change the timing cover to the one off the old engine? Anyone dealt with this?

if you have the oil cooler too, just swap that over with it. you can also use the 04 front cover. the 04 cover is the same and is just plugged with bolts, as far as I remember.
