For this reason I stopped looking at options but maybe there's some other stuff out there.
A truck cam would be the best option. CamMotion and other companies make them. Low-end torque is especially helpful with a big, heavy, 4WD.

I'll have a look, thanks for the direction. Most applications seem to be pointed to big hp gains and high-revving stuff (find for a lightweight car) so certainly a truck cam seems more appropriate, I didn't see much support in that realm so thank ya!

There are SO many basic LSx questions in this thread that have been asked and answered a bazillion times elsewhere on the internet. The LSx platform is arguably the most commonly swapped engine in the world.

Here are some resources that should be high on the reading list of anyone who is considering this swap:

LS1Tech Forum

The Conversions and Hybrids Subforum on LS1Tech (it would take some time but the OP should really try to cut & paste the relevant posts from this thread into a new thread in the LS1Tech Conversions & Hybrids subforum)

LT1Swap - the most referenced site for DIY standalone harness conversion information

Some basic Gen III LSx Info

Lastly, the OP should consider posting pictures of the kit components on his website.

Just showing the amount of wires that needed to be thinned from the stock harness. This procedure might not be for the faint of heart and is fairly intensive. You'll be getting rid of a lot of wires from the stock harness.

This picture shows about half the wires that are stripped from the stock harness. Lots of tape and loom that had to be cut off as well. If you have any doubt, contact ACE and potentially utilize their rework service. If you have any patience at all however, it is quite simple just take your time.

I've never seen someone yank the range selector back that quickly...

Got my new LM4 today! This week I'll clean it and prep it on the engine stand. One step closer!

For those of you pulling the engine harness so you can send it in for the wiring service... any tips on how to pull the wires from under the glove box through the firewall? There are 5 bundles that need to be passed through.
Thinking about heating it up the rubber grommet slightly with a heat gun to get it more pliable but don't want to damage anything while passing it into the engine bay.
