I'm just lurking in case I ever get a chance to do this so I'm no help whatsoever here, but I have a question; Isn't one of the benefits of this swap being able to 86 the janky Rover cooling plumbing for a simpler, conventional set up? Does ACE recommend the old set up?

There is a cooling mod that you can do to the rover that will make it more reliably then the stock rover setup.

I'm aware of the common mod to the Rover plumbing, I'm wondering why it's not being done with the LS swap.

This swap was a kit that utilized as many stock Rover parts as possible. So using the stock radiator the plumbing is going to look similar however to my understanding they are not using the same thermostat set up.

The LS thermostat is part of the water pump housing. The cooling setup is simpler than the old engine. Main hoses go to the radiator and back.

Something like this:
top engine outlet -> bleeder -> top radiator inlet ( cut and reused hoses here, bleeder from inline mod)

bottom radiator outlet -> water pump bottom inlet (reused hose here from inline thermostat mod, for some BMW)

For heater hoses I just got a couple feet from Autozone. Went from the firewall attachments to the LS water pump heater inlet / outlet. The 3-way adapter is in one of these hoses so it hooks back up to the expansion tank.

Daedrix that was super helpful! Thank you so much
Looks like you bypassed the coolant passage in the throttle body?
Would you use another T fitting to connect the steam port to the driver's side coolant line on the TB?
Or would you use use the radiator overflow line instead?

The steam port is connected to the throttle body on the drive side and on the passenger side of the throttle body it is connected to the reservoir. The coolant from the steam port passes through the throttle body then it goes to the reservoir. I live in Florida so I don't need the throttle body to be heated. Obviously in colder climates you need it to be.
