filters under the hood

hello I have a 2004 land rover discovery .there is a filter located against the firewall on the rightside next to airpump for my air ride ca somebody please tell me what it is for it is a cylinder type paper thanks in advance

If it is fitted to airpump, it's for the fresh air intake on pump.
