Thumbs up Heads up and hands down... THANK YOU, EXPERTS

I just wanted to give a big thanks to those who are the true experts on this forum!

There a number of you who have helped me, without you even realizing that you did. But by posting your suggestions, tech help, advice, and all-around general knowledge of these vehicles is truly priceless.

So... without further ado, THANK YOU! Savannah Buzz, fishEH, Disco Mike, Spike555, and of course Paul Grant are just a few names that I can think of that have directly helped me navigate my way around my muddy toy!

Who helped you, that you'd like to give a big shout out to? Post it here.

It is you that deserve the thanks for supporting the forum and reading and searching and studying the RAVE.

Speaking of the RAVE, I'm considering printing it out and binding it. Not that I'm lazy by no means, but honestly scrolling through it on my phone or computer is numbing. Being able to thumb thru it with my greasy fingers is my preference.

On a sidenote, I ditched facebook to come hang out here with you guys and gals

Way too much to print. Shop manual alone is 1529 pages. Use the search feature on your Adobe pdf reader. Store only the sections needed for your vehicle.

Holy donuts!! I didn't know it was THAT many pages! I do have an aunt and cousin that own a Print/Bindery shop.. so the cost isn't a big deal. But sheesh, yeah 1,500 pages is too much.

Oh well... thank you anyway for your patience with us n00bs!

Yeah there's a lot of info. You're gonna need HD springs to tote that thing around if you decide to print and bound it

I second this sentiment.

I bought my first LR in 2008. At the time, I had very little knowledge or experience about working on cars. I'm a chick & my dad taught me the essentials (how to change a tire & change oil), but other than that I hadn't done much more.

Since 2008, I've picked up a second Disco 2 & done:

SLS to coil spring conversion (both trucks)
new power steering pump
top end rebuild (head gaskets)
two water pumps
fan & viscous clutch
starter motor
o2 sensors
plugs & wires on both trucks
new radiator
two new thermostats
valve cover gaskets
Throttle body heater gaskets (3 times & finally bypassed)
countless fluid changes
Propshaft
new headliner
and several other small projects

NONE of this could have done by me without the help of this forum and the incredible people here that selflessly give their time & knowledge to others. I am EXTREMELY grateful for all that you do.
