I'm not sure how long this forum has been online, but with all the activity and resources not to mention the dedicated members.... I think its time to consider making LRF bumper stickers, windows stickers, shirts, maybe a new logo etc. I'd love to promote this forum on my Disco and every time I meet a local Rover owner I always mention the forum. What do you guys think? Does anyone have the materials to start making the above mention?

Alternatively the admin and moderators could always start a fundraising project to raise the needed money to have such paraphernalia created! I'd certainly contribute to it and I bet many other would as well.

 

I'll be that we have forum members in the promotions biz that could make such things and are already set up to process payments, etc. Customize it with your screen name along the bottom.

We can set up a CafePress store for LRF if any members are good with graphics and can make a logo. We can always go with the logo in the top left of the site if there isn't any other design you guys would want for stickers and shirts, etc.

 

We need a distinguishable logo. It seems this forum is making the transition from a public forum to more of a community. I wish I was good with graphics, I'd love a good graphic so I could display it.

How about a logo with "landroverforums.com" with a Rover looking vehicle crawling over the letters? Or perhaps taking the letters out of the Camel Trophy logo and inserting the web address? I'd take a shirt and sticker, for sure.

I honestly think this forum could make it if someone took it off of a server and we funded it privately; exactly like DiscoWeb. It would certainly weed-out the repetitive posts from the dudes who search "Land rover forums" into Google and make one post, get what they need, and leave. That's my pet peave, for sure

Personally I do like the current font used in the title, but either way I still agree with the notion of a specialized logo and shirts, bumper stickers etc. And I like your idea Honda5r about the rover crawling up over the text! I think it should be a 2004 Disco 2! Not one of the new rigs. We should also come up with a semi sarcastic but funny slogan concerning our rovers to!

If we can get enough support on this proposal I will invest some $$$ into it, and hopefully others will to! I really think we could make this happen if everyone worked together on it.
