We have a 2001 freelander 1, it has the 2litre BMW TD engine, and still has the stock transmission. It was in storage for 7 years so only has 66 000km on the clock. Recently my dad has been looking at buying me a Defender as a first car, because people say the Freelander keeps breaking down.

I want to know, what goes wrong on them, and about how much does it cost?
