Smile An Airman Really need some help

Hello everybody , I have a 2002 Land Rover Freelander , he si my best friend , but I get some problem recently , he is sick , I get "service engine soon" on my dashboard and P0171 : system is too lean and bank 1 is too lean , any body know what happened ?

Shop manual is part of the RAVE (Rover's name for the manual set), a free download below. Lean can mean more air coming in than calculated to be present. So you can have a cracked air or vacuum hose allowing "un-metered" air to enter the system. Truck is not about to blow up.

you might start by putting a hose clamp on the hose that is running off the left side of the air box.

Are you currently in North Dakota as your profile states? Because I saw Freelander broke down in the middle of an intersection just like yours the other day here at Sheppard.

Just wondering, seeing as if you are actually here at Sheppard, we could at least take a look at it in person.
