Hello!, i have a freelander 2 STD4 year 2007 automatic transmission. I have problems with the transmission because after i use the car for a while the car start to harsh shift the gears when it goes from the fist to the second and also when i change from D to R or N the change is very harsh. This doesnt happens whe the car is cold but only after i use it for a while in traffic. I changed the oil and made the software update f the gearbox but still the same result. Any Idea?

 

Sorry but if you have done a full ATF change, you could have made things worse? Best to have someone with a fault reader to see if there any codes listed. I had Auto box problems with my last car and it cost £1,800 rebuild. It cost £35 for a full testing and you get a print out of the performance. I know that this is not much help with your problems, But sadly the longer you leave it the worse thing will get "Sorry".
