Buying a freelander...advice?
Hi,
I'm looking around to buy a 2000 /2001 Freelander. Any tips on what to look out for or avoid. Want to keep the engine size reasonably small.
Thanks in advance

I would say.... don't buy it. We have two 2002 Freelander in the family - my wife has one and my dad has one. Both of them had tons of issues and my dad's car even got replaced engine by Land Rover. My wife's rover is still having problems and dealers cannot even find a way to fix it. The car has "cling cling clunk clunk" noise from underneath the car when it hits 45mph.
Dude, don't go for it.

If not, check the bushings on the front control arms, i've been told they go out a lot.
