Hi,

When the clutch of my 98 freelanderis being depressed or released, there is a squeaking soundfrom the engine compartment, somewhere under the air intake filter. There is no soundwhen the car is just started,but the squeaking sound will gradually build up and become louder and the clutch become slightly sticky when the engine is getting warm after 15 - 30 minutes of driving.

I am going to check it out soon in a gargage but as freelander is not quite common in my country, the mechanics may not be able to pinpoint what the problem is. I would like to have a rough idea of what parts may need to be replaced and whether it will be an expensive job.
