Heh guys, have an 08 Freelander 2 td4, auto, just had a new turbo fitted and now the amber warning engine light has come on! Plus, a smell coming from the car, like exhaust emissions, it's on reduced power, like it was before turbo fitted! Could it be fuel filter clogged up, catalytic converter, or sensors on turbo need tweaking a bit more? Only had it out of the garage a couple of days, never take it far or abuse it! Help, my garage now closed for Xmas, and don't want to use it in case I do more damage! Thanks guys! Xxx

 

I'd start by taking it to a parts store and checking what code is causing the light.
