Hi,
My car is a very early (summer 2006) Freelander 2 i6 HSE auto.
In USA, it would be called LR2.
i6 is the version with the Volvo-derived six-cylinder 3.2-litre petrol.
I'm in UK, where the i6 is very rare.
It's done around 68,000 miles and is due for a major service.
Here's the thing ...
Mechanics get to know common faults by working on lots of 'same' models.
In UK, they'll know where trouble spots are on diesel Freelander 2's.
But they just don't have any experience with the i6 petrol engine.
Maybe USA mechanics/enthusiasts have better information??
So, here's my question ...
What common i6 petrol-engine problems should I be looking out for?
