Default Engine hesitation problem!

Hi all

I recently purchased a 2004 2L diesel freelander and after a month of owning it I have started to have problems.

The problem is that once I go over 3000 RPM the engine seems to be starving of fuel and keeps on cutting out resulting in poor performance from the engine. I have tried using injector cleaner and this didn't help. Before I take it in to have it checked out (they charge you a fortune to do this) I would like to know if anyone has had this problem or would know how to go about fixing this problem?

Thanx for the help!
Dane
