Default Freelander 1 brake warning light

I've replaced the front discs and pads on my 04 Freelander 1 and now the brake warning light is on all the time. The brakes don't appear to be rubbing, and it brakes in a straight line. Have I upset one or both of the wheel sensors somehow?

Yes, it was high as I'd had to back off the pistons to accommodate the new pads and discs. However I've syringed out the excess and it's made no difference. At the moment I've shorted the circuit to cancel the warning light, but it's not really the solution to the problem.
