Default Freelander KV6 Jatco suggestions

Hello!

I'm new in the forum.

Nowadays I live in Utah, and I am considering to buy a '02 Freelander, with the KV6 and Jatco trans.

The car has about 100.000miles, and the owner only has had minor problems (such the wipers motor, windows motor... and the brakes changed under warranty). Checked with Carfax... :S

I have tried the car and it runs well and everything is working, except when it is changin between 2nd and 3rd gear, that it do a thump (other changes are smooth).

I have read about the solenoids and I think I can change them in case I finally buy the car, aswell the trans oil.

The question is, It really doesn't worth the money in either case?

Thanks!
