I'm hoping someone can help with a question that i'm having trouble with.

I have a 2004 Freelander 1.8 petrol that was originally RHD. The previous owner converted it to LHD, however i now need to replace the steering rack on the car, but i am having a bit of trouble locating a LHD steering rack that isn't crazily expensive.

The issue is that i live on a small island in spain and the rack on the car at the moment does not have a part number on it. Someone is selling a LHD Freelander 1998 1.8 petrol for parts on the island, and i was wondering if this part would fit my car?

I have spoken with a few people in the UK, and no one has been able to confirm if it will fit the car okay, so was hoping that someone on here might be able to help?

Really appreciate your help, as it has been a bit of a nightmare trying to sort this out.
