Okay I know this has been covered all over but having done everything I am stumped. So onward:

Code p0305, miss on number 5. reset codes for each step. Swapped coil with #3 no change. New plug no change. Checked for spark, no spark, if I plug that coil and plug to a different lead it gets spark. opened ecu box and checked continuity on each wire, black purple fine, brown pink fine, black goes to ground. So at the moment I am lost as to where to go next. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

 

How about the fuel injector?

 

That would have been next to check if I had spark. Still might need checking. I have arranged for it to go to a mechanic Friday so they can use a better scan tool etc.
