Can anyone help me find a replacement muffler for my father-in-law's Freelander?
I called the dealer and they want $680 for a muffler, That is ridiculous he can't afford those prices.

Are there mufflers from other Land rover vehicles which may be compatible with the freelander exhaust system?

How about a muffler from another vehicle manufacturer altogether? (Ford, GM, Chrysler)

Any ideas are appreciated.

I noticed only 3 threads in the Freelander forum, doesn't seem right.

any good muffler shop could order you one. Try a mom/pop joint. They dont seem that far fetch. Good luck
