Rotational clunking from F/L while braking
Has anyone had this problem?
About two weeks ago my wife tells me that when she comes to a low speed stop there's a noise from the front of the car.
I checked the brakes, they needed to be replaced,"really!" So I did not want to spend the 800.00 at the local Land Rover dealer. I bought some aftermarket pads and rotors. I test drove the car after the repairs and it still had the same noise.[:'(]
We decided to tow the car to the dealer (still under warranty) to have them see what was wrong. Four hours later we get a rather rude phone call telling us the cause of the noise were the aftermaket pads and rotors.
Has anyone ever had this problem with aftermarket parts.

No I haven't checked the CV's yet. The noise only happpend while braking stright.
Check this one out. My wife picks up the car from the dealer after we declined to have the 800.00 pad slap done, and the noise has gone away!
Could it be that it just fixed itself! or is it a common problem that was easily fixed and a good way for the dealer to make money?
Either way the noise is gone.
Thank for your help.
