Service engine soon
My service engine soon light is coming on my 2002 Freelander with 88,000km. I purchased the car recently at a used car dealer, but since I drive a lot for work, the guarantee is already expired. I made an appointment next week to get it checked out, but just to plug it into their computer is going to cost me $80 bucks. It seems to my be reading other posts on this site that the problem probably isn’t very serious. Could this simply be a reminder to check for emissions or something simple like that? Can I just somehow turn it off and ignore it? I’d appreciate any tips. Thanks.
Good Luck!!! I Have a 2005 Freelander with 18,700 miles, my service engine soon and the hill decent light are coming on suposedly related to a transmission problem I was having. It has been 3 months and 5 visits to the dealership. the warranty seems to mean nothing Land Rover customer service has been no help.
