Default So--if the Steel Sleaves cause trouble...

- I don't know much about engines obviously, but it seems that many have pointed to the Steel Sleeves as a major problem with the K-Series engines. Yet, I never hear of ways to fix it? Too complicated I assume? Is there a way change the sleeve type perhaps? I assume that would be expensive if there was.

- I have a 2.5 KV6, does this mean I am less likely or more likely to run into problems?

- I have 80,000 miles, how do I know if the original engine is still running or if it is a replacement?

I am going to the dealership for the fuel pump recall next week... maybe I will find them somewhat cooperative. Have never been to the local dealership yet.
