Default Strange noise

Hi
Yesterday my 1999 landrover free lander started making a strange noise when I go over 20mph. It sounds like a grinding/humming noise and kinda gets worse the faster I go. The car was serviced in July, 2 new rear wheels in August and MOTd in August. This is the first time I have ever heard this noise and only starts at 20mph. Any help/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Wheel bearing? Driveshaft center support bearing? If you have access to a lift, put it in the air with an assistant inside, start the car and bring it up to speed and listen for the source. If it sounds like it might be coming from the driveshaft, remove it, drive it and see if the sound is still there. Does it come from the front, rear, or middle? The more info, the better.

When on the road, does the sound fade out when turning? (If it's coming from the rear it will take a fairly hard turn to check this) If the noise does fade, it's likely a wheel bearing. If this is the case be sure to change the opposing bearing as well. Hope this helps, but more info would be useful as this issue could have a few dozen causes.

PS, maybe check the diff fluid while you're at it, shamefully, this was the cause of a similar issue for me.
