Exclamation 03 Range rover HSE Pinging noise when turned on?!

Hi, my 03 range rover HSE makes a noise when being turned on. I am not sure how to explain it other than a rattle or pinging noise it's just right when it is starting and sounds like it may be coming from the left front side but not sure? Please help thanks! -Sarah

The chattering is caused by a worn out vanos check valve. Not sure if you're savvy enough to replace one, but I suggest taking it to the dealers to replace it or a your local mechanic.

You can also do a search for chatter. Should bring up tons of thread as it's a common problem.

Does it almost instantly go away? Or does it stay for awhile?
