Default 10W30 or 20W50

When I bought the 98 RR the last oil change sticker said 10W30.

Since, I have used 10W30 inthe RRfor three years.

The dealer for my 89 Mercedes 420 said always use 20W50 in it.

We live in South Louisiana, Is 10W30 the best oil for the RR?

If not, What do you use.
Thanks

For year around use, I would suggest 10W/40 as your owners manual will also suggest based on your type of weather.
