Default 1995 RR problem solved

I purchased a '95 RR about two weeks ago. 118,000 miles. Good Condition. On the 90 mile drive home, temp gauge went up to skirting the red and the A/C compressor cut out. Took it to my mechanic and he suggested a coolant system flush and new thermostat. We did it but no change, Fortunately, he has a mechanic who is very familiar with all things British. He was sure the head gaskets were not leaking and the A/C system checked out. Turns out it was body grounds. The temp gauge was not getting grounded properly and the false reading tripped the compressor. So I guess all is well until I have him tackle the non-fuctioning sunroof. The previous owner said all it takes is 2 little clips to fix it being of track! Yeah, sure! .....and then there is the cruise control

Welcome to Rover ownership! At least you seem to have found a good mechanic... :0 and your rig has great mileage considering the year.

Congratulations on fixing it. Any ideas which grounds were bad? My temp gauge gets a little crazy sometimes so I figured I would try redoing the grounds.
Thanks.
