1999 Range Rover Power Window Problem
Hey Guys....
My 99 Rover has started making a very loud pop pop pop noise when raising my driver side window, BUT only when it gets to the top. Also the window will not go all the way up, there is about a quarter inch gap. I can force it up the rest of the way so I don't get the loud wind squeel going down the road, but will work it's way down with vibration and travel. I have taken the door panel off and inspected however don't see anything out of place. It is like it is off track but can't seem to figure it out. Any ideas?
Thanks,
MIchael

if you remove the regulator, four rivets at each corner, there are two blue plastic guides, where the regulator attaches to the glass, one of them is broken. if you catch it in time, you can just replace that, if not, youll need a new regulator
I had the same problem before. You will need a new regulator. The teeth on the gear are chewed up.
The same thing will happen to the back of your hands working inside the door.
